DEGRAW STREET HOTEL

New York, NY

This Brooklyn building was thoughtfully restored and renovated into a boutique hotel, balancing the character of the existing structure with the needs of a modern hospitality use. The initial design centered on an upgraded façade, reimagined to showcase bay windows in each unit. This move not only expanded the interior square footage but also brought in additional natural light and gave each room a distinct architectural identity along the street elevation. Internally, the design was fully developed to accommodate a varied mix of hotel room sizes and suites, allowing the building to serve a range of guest needs while maintaining a cohesive design language throughout.

Leah completed the façade design, renderings, and floor plans for the project while working at the architecture firm KBA.
